Restaurant & Bar

From 8AM - 3PM daily we offer breakfasts & lunches aimed to satisfy the hungry backpacker. Egg dishes, crepes, fruit, salad, sandwiches and the like are prepared lovingly by our staff of indigenous women and cost around $3 to $4 a meal.

Dinner is served at 7:00 and the fixed menu is a delicious 3-course feast consisting of soup with homemade bread, a hot main course (vegetarian option always available), and coffee, tea & cake for dessert - all for Q55 veg or Q60 meat (around $7.00).

Saturday night barbecue parties at the Iguana are somewhat legendary on the backpacker trail. We serve chicken or vegie burgers and a huge buffet of side dishes and salads, followed by our famous chocolate brownies. Guitars & drums emerge and after a few flavored vodka shots you're guaranteed to hear the chicken bus song. Our bar is open every day and night for sodas, beer, wine, spirits and bottled water too.
