A temazcal is a traditional Mayan sweat lodge, used for centuries for healing, purification, and spiritual ceremonies. The word comes from Nahuatl, meaning “house of heat”.
Heated stones are placed in the center, and water infused with herbs is poured over them to create steam. Tucked into our garden under a giant bougainvillea.
